Learn Safe Drive SafeLearn Safe, Drive Safe helps learner drivers better prepare for solo driving.

The scheme uses a simple set of learning resources developed by SYSRP to help young people to deal with a host of situations they may find themselves in when driving without an instructor - for example, when you have friends in the car, are late for an appointment, are tired or feeling stressed.

It's about more than the mechanics of driving the car and dealing with the traffic, it’s about having the skills to drive safely whilst navigating through everyday life.

The scheme is delivered by specially trained instructors who will use the Learn Safe, Drive Safe resources as part of your normal driving lessons. The resources do not mean you will need more lessons, in fact they will help you to be better prepared for your test and more importantly, help you to be safer and better prepared for solo driving once you have passed your test.

Within South Yorkshire there are a large number of instructors who can provide Learn Safe, Drive Safe training to help you to become a safer driver.

As part of Learn Safe, Drive Safe you will also get access to a series of e-learning modules to support your learning and help you to think about how best to deal with a range of driving scenarios such as driving at night, driving on rural roads and dealing with pressure from friends to act in an unsafe way.
