APPEAL AFTER CHILD INJURED IN HIT AND RUN
Shared on behalf of our partners South Yorkshire Police:

Officers are appealing for information following a collision which took place just before 6pm on Saturday 18 September in Wesley Avenue, Aston.

It is reported that a 9-year-old boy was riding a pedal cycle when he was struck by a vehicle, a black or dark-coloured Seat Leon, which left the scene following the collision.

The boy was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries, he remains there in a stable condition.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers have now released an image of a car (see police website) they are hoping to identify in connection to the incident as they believe its drivers may hold information that could help them in their enquiries.
